Sharon Andrews

Director

Sharon received her BFA in dance from Southern Methodist University in 1979. As a dance major at SMU she not only had extensive studies in ballet, pointe, jazz, modern and tap, but also in dance history, ballet pedagogy (the study of teaching ballet), dance theory, and choreography. She has trained and danced with many of the finest teachers in the world. Sharon’s heart is to “redeem the arts” for God’s glory, taking back what the world has perverted and returning the arts to a meaningful, excellent and powerful form of expression for the purpose of worship and evangelism.

Rachel Cotto

Ballet

Rachel first began ballet at age 8. For six years in college, she performed in The Nutcracker Ballet, including the role of Clara, and Spanish soloist. From 1998-2003, she was apart of Tyler Civic Ballet where she was the Spring Fairy in Cinderella. She joined Liberty & Grace Dance in 2004, initially taking ballet and pointe. In the fall of 2006 she began teaching Ballet I at Liberty & Grace Dance. Though ballet is her forte, she also enjoys jazz, lyrical, and modern. Rachel graduated with a Masters in Social Work from UT Arlington and works as a Birth Parent Caseworker for the Gladney Center for Adoption.

Addie Frederickson

Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical

Addie began dancing at the age of 3. She performed at parades, Six Flags Over Texas, and the State Fair in the 8th grade. She was a member of the Dance Club at Richland High School were they performed for school activities, nursing homes, and faculty open houses.In the fall of 2002 Addie began dancing with Liberty & Grace Dance. She began teaching in the Fall of 2004. “My favorite thing about teaching is being able to see the students’ love for Jesus on their faces as they dance”. She is married to Martin and has two boys.

Heidi Schoonover

Ballet

Heidi grew up in Fort Worth, where she trained most extensively with Margo Dean’s School of Ballet. She participated in a few of Ballet Magnificat’s summer workshops, where her desire to use dance for Christ’s glory developed. She has participated in the Irish Dance World Championships in Ireland. She earned her BFA in Dance and Minor in Sports Medicine from Belhaven College. She teaches ballet and Irish dance for TAFA, and she is delighted to teach for LOF, where the Spirit of Christ and quality training are so evident.

Sarah Porter

PreDance, Ballet

Sarah is married with 2 children. She enjoys cooking, gardening and stamping. She is actively involved in her church where she plays the piano. She home schools her children as well as leads a group of home school girls in various activities. She has been taking dance for 6 years. For the past 2 years, she applies her gift of teaching and her love of children to the Pre Dance classes at Leap of Faith.

Devin Moore

Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical

Originally from Florida, Devin Moore has trained in Hip Hop, Modern, Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, and Ballet in a variety of studios and settings such as South Florida Dance Company, Amazing Grace School of Dance, and Dance Academy of Stuart. She is currently dancing with Ingredients Dance Company and Dance Revolution here in Texas. With 9 years of dance training and 7 years of teaching experience, she is very excited to join Leap of Faith to continue to teach and serve God with her abilities.

Eric Corona

Tap, Guys Stomp, Lyrical, Tumbling

Eric is originally from Los Angles California. He has been training in all types of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Tumbling at Catch the Vision Christian Performing Arts Studio, where he grew up, for the past 11 years. He also taught there for 4 years as well. He is so honored to be joining the Ingredients Training Program this Fall. He has always had a passion for the things of the Lord and also for the creative gifts that God has imparted to him. He can’t think of anything greater than using his gifts to build up the Kingdom of the Lord.

Rachel Stevens

Ballet

Rachel is currently dancing with Ingredients Dance Company and Dance Revolution. She danced at Joy Christian Arts in Florida for 10 years, where she assisted teachers for 5 years in ballet for ages 2-5. She has also choreographed solos and groups. She has assisted with Miracles in Motion, a dance program for special needs children, as well as Relay for Life, an event raising money for cancer research, and in nursing homes. ’I believe that God has called me to share the joy of dancing with everyone. I enjoy sharing the things I have learned with other dancers and watching them grow in their art.’

Hope Wilkerson

Baton

Hope Wilkerson has studied at Leap of Faith Dance and Performing Arts Center for 10 years. She has trained and performed in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and baton-twirling. Hope was a member of the Parables Dance Company for the 2008-2009 season, performing in ballet, jazz and lyrical. She has also had the opportunity to perform with Momentum Dance Company in showcases of The Nutcracker and Coppelia, and has done multiple outreaches with Leap of Faith. In addition to dance, she loves music and has received many awards for piano performance and composition.

Carol Sute

Violin, Fiddle

Carol has an elementary education degree and has played the violin for nearly 40 years. Throughout those years God has opened opportunities to use this beautiful instrument in a variety of orchestras, weddings, and worship teams. She studied traditional classical violin but has more recently branched out to fiddle and jazz, to be an even more well-rounded player and teacher. Improvisation, which is vital to worship team involvement, is Carol’s specialty. She uses the Suzuki as well as traditional methods of teaching, and teaches classical and fiddle styles. Carol teaches adults as well as children.

Susie Thurow

Music Education, Piano

Susie is a 1978 graduate of Texas Wesleyan with a degree in Music Education. Although she has sung in choirs since she was a child touring with the Texas Girls Choir, her instrument of choice is the piano. Susie has been a music ministry leader at various churches since graduating from high school and is currently serving as the Director of Music at First United Methodist Church in Kennedale, Texas. She directs the childrens musicals and assists with the youth musicals as well as accompanying the liturgical service and playing in the contemporary worship band.
